Sun Day

The day begins with the aroma of Mediterranean cuisine in the “Mar e Monte” workshop, followed by the new circus, the creation of instant books and poetic birds, and ends with a sunset concert. SUN DAY is back. A full day of artistic celebration, sharing, and creation at EscolaNova, with workshops, performances, cooking, live drawing, and music in an environment open to all ages. We begin with the aroma of Mediterranean cuisine in the “Sea and Land” workshop, move on to collective sand sculptures, contemporary circus experiences with movement, the creation of books and poetic birds, and end with a sunset concert.

Throughout the day, the encounters and atmospheres are documented graphically in a practice of ethnographic drawing. An invitation to participate, listen, and discover – both within and beyond ourselves.

SUN DAY occurs once a month. It transforms EscolaNova into a vibrant celebration space, stretching from sunrise to sunset. With a rich and diverse program, this day invites us to participate actively: cook, learn, play, mend, move our bodies, or bask in the sun. Everything centres on hands-on creation, bodily expression, the wisdom of the land, and the arts in their many forms. A true community celebration woven with sharing, memories, discoveries, and encounters.
