ORQUESTRA DE JAZZ DO ALGARVE

Caribe Libre brings together Latin music and Jazz in a journey through the Afro-Caribbean rhythms that gave birth to Latin Jazz. With Raul Reyes on vocals, Osvaldo Pegudo on percussion and the Orquestra de Jazz do Algarve on stage, the concert begins with Manteca, Dizzy Gillespie’s iconic piece, and travels through classics such as "Bilongo", "Contigo en la Distancia" and "Mambo Nº 5". Between mambo, bolero and cha-cha-cha, the repertoire celebrates the energy, memory and flavour of the Caribbean – a vibrant celebration of musical freedom.
